Licence to thrill: Six Premier League newcomers destined to put you on the edge of your seat

The new Premier League season is just around the corner.

The top teams have been flashing the cash looking for bigger and better buys to pursue their dream of capturing the league title and making a big play in Europe.

But not everyone can match the £100million-plus Manchester United are spending on Paul Pogba.

Here, Sunsport details some of the lesser lights who will tackle Englan d's top flight for the first time - six players we tip to take the Premier League by storm:

1 Victor Fischer - Middlesbrough

FISCHER, 22, has moved to Middlesbrough from Ajax after setting Dutch football alight last season.

The attacking midfielder has this terrific reference from club hero Sjaak Swart to live up to.

Swart said: "He is a true Ajax footballer with beautiful moves, a through ball, and unexpected run  -  a little Bergkamp-like." Pre-season form so far has been promising. Looks like Fischer will be a hit.

2 Andre Gray - Burnley

A £9million buy from Brentford, Gray delivered 25 goals in the Championship last season and silenced all those doubters who thought no player could fill the hole left by Danny Ings’ departure to Liverpool. Expect big things in the Premier League this year even if Burnley are strugglingfor survival.

3 Vincent Janssen - Tottenham
SPURS  fans are hopeful the Dutchman  can repeat his form with AZ Alkmaar, where the 22-year-old scored more goals (27) than any other player in the Dutch top tier of football last season.

Importantly the £18.6million adds competition and back-up to Harry Kane for a regular starting spot at White Hart Lane.

4 Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg - Southampton

THE 21-year-old defensive midfielded excelled at Bayern Munich last season, having emerged through the ranks at iconic Danish club Brondby.

Calm on the ball and with a relentless work rate, he was crowned 'Talent of the Year' in Denmark in 2013.

Hojbjerg cost Southampton £12.8million but can play box-to-box if need be, and has been used sporadically as a wing-back, most notably for Bayern at the end of the 2013/14.

5 Sofiane Feghouli - West Ham

THE Algerian international winger can be devastating - and is just the man to feed Andy Carroll with the crosses the big centre forward craves.

Free transfer Feghouli Feghouli fired impressed in the Hammers' 3-0 Europa League win over NK Domzale, striding forwards with eight minutes left to kill the game with his right foot.

Previously racked up six seasons at Valencia where he scored 31 goals and made 40 assists in 202 outings.

6 Joel Matip - Liverpool

ANOTHER free transfer, the ex-Schalke centre back has 27 caps for Cameroon and boasts commendable strength and ariel power, suggesting he'll be a real asset to a Liverpool side that has tended to leak goals under Jurgen Klopp.

Last season he led the Bundesliga in blocked shots making 56 tackles and 106 interventions in just 34 games.
