BESIC INJURY SHOCKER

Everton’s unlucky Muhamed Besic ruled out for six months with a knee injury

'Devastated' crocked midfielder confirms his latest injury agony with poignant message to fans on Twitter

EVERTON have been dealt massive a blow just a week before the start of the new Premier League season after Muhamed Besic was ruled out for six months with a knee injury.

The Bosnia midfielder was forced off just 12 minutes after coming on in Wednesday's testimonial for Wayne Rooney at Old Trafford.

Besic managed to limp off the pitch unaided, but confirmed on Twitter that he will be on the sidelines until February.

"6 months out! #devastated," the 23-year-old wrote on his Twitter account.

Besic joins a number of crocked Premier League stars who will miss the start of the season and beyond.

The injury blow means that manager Ronald Koeman is unlikely to have Besic available until at least February.

Besic has endured a frustrating time with injuries since arriving at Goodison Park from Ferencvaros in 2014.
He missed a large chunk of last term with hamstring and thigh problems and has now suffered another major setback ahead of the new campaign.

Meanwhile, Liverpool hero Didi Hamann has tipped for a top six finish next season - because of their “outstanding manager Koeman”.

He said: “We saw Leicester - and to a lesser extent West Ham and Southampton - break the stranglehold of the big guns last season and this term I can see Everton being the best of the rest and maybe nicking a top six spot."
