Barcelona and Brazil legend Ronaldinho offered route back into football by Aussie second-tier side Wollongong Wolves

FOOTBALL legend Ronaldinho has been offered a route back into the beautiful game – by Australian second-tier outfit Wollongong Wolves.
The Brazilian has plied his trade at some of the greatest clubs in world football, including Barcelona, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.
Ronaldinho is currently unattached after leaving Fluminense last September, three months after signing an 18-month deal with the club.
The 36-year-old has also taken in spells with Flamengo, Atletico Mineiro and Queretaro since leaving Europe in 2011, and has recently enjoyed a very short spell in the Indian Futsal League.
Ronaldinho taught Manchester United icon Paul Scholes a lesson when he scored five goals for Goa 5s in a 7-2 win against Bengaluru, but sensationally quit soon after in order to become Brand Ambassador of the Rio Paralympic Games.
The classy playmaker is now exploring his options, with the MLS and China both potential leagues.

But reports claim Ronaldinho wants to emulate Juventus hero Alessandro Del Piero by testing himself in the Australian A-League instead.
And minnows Wollongong have offered the ace the chance to play in a one-off match to showcase his skills to bigger clubs in the country, with director Dean Merola explaining: “We can confirm we have put in an offer.
“We know he is interested in coming to the A-League as a marquee player. We are willing to put him on a platform to show his wares, and deadline for a response is tomorrow [Friday]. Fingers crossed, it would be a big coup for Wollongong!”
