West Ham transfer news: Davide Santon joins Hammers on loan from Inter with £4.5million option to buy
WEST HAM have secured a season-long loan for Inter full-back Davide Santon.
The Italian, 25, returns to the Premier League after spending four years at Newcastle between 2011-15.
After losing his place to Paul Dummet at St James' Park, Santon made the switch to Inter but he has failed to make an impact on the first-team.
West Ham need urgent left-back cover after Aaron Cresswell was ruled out for up to four months with a knee ligament injury.
Santon is contracted until 2018 in Italy but if the move is a success it's likely that Santon will make the switch for a cut-price £4.5m.
The Hammers face Domzale in the first game at their new ground - and will be hoping to overturn a 2-1 first-leg deficit.

Santon only made 13 appearances for Inter last season, all but one of those coming in Serie A.
The loan fee is around £430,000 and Santon will provide able cover at left-back.
