CRISTIANO RONALDO needed to cool-off in more ways than one in the Miami heat - as he looks to make miracle return following injury in the Euro 2016 final.
The Portuguese superstar, 31, is enjoying the sun in Florida ahead of Real Madrid's big La Liga kick-off but is a unable to face Sevilla in the Spanish Super Cup.
But after taking his leg brace off as he relaxed with friends yesterday, Ronaldo had to take a break from blistering heat to cool down in the shade - and ice his leg in the process.
The former Manchester United star - who is set to extend his stay at the Bernabeu to 2021 - was seen with heavy strapping to his left knee as he played on his phone next to the hotel pool.
Yesterday SunSport revealed he was spotted cuddling up to stunning fitness model Cassandre Davi as they relaxed by the pool.
Ronaldo, who has been single since splitting from Irina Shayk 18 months ago, has been linked with a string of stunners.
The world’s highest paid athlete, broke up with Russian model Shayk after a five year romance, with the stunner since shacking up with American actor Bradley Cooper.
With the injury still troubling Ronaldo, he may have to wait for his return which the club have earmarked for the game against newly-promoted Osasuna on September 11.
Real boss Zinedine Zidane has revealed that fans must be patient as the superstar makes his recovery.
He said: "Right now he still has his injury.
"Obviously he wants to be back but we need patience and for him to be calm. He will be back with us soon in Madrid."
