Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City announce the signing of Brazilian teenager Gabriel Jesus for £27million fee
MANCHESTER CITY have announced the signing of Brazilian whizkid Gabriel Jesus for £27million.
The forward, 19, turned down the chance to link up with compatriot Neymar at Barcelona to join Pep Guardiola's Etihad revolution on a five-year deal.
Jesus netted an impressive 19 goals in 30 games for Brazilian side Palmeiras this season.
And it is understood the teenage forward will see out the current campaign in South America, before flying to Manchester in the winter.
City are set to spend around £4m in add-ons for Jesus - although it's understood the clauses include the unlikely event of winning the Ballon d'Or.

Fans at Eastlands will be able to see their new man in action during the Olympic Games in his native Brazil, where he will be competing for his nation.
Jesus becomes Guardiola's fourth big attacking signing of the summer, following the incredible arrivals of Ilkay Gundogan, Leroy Sane and Nolito.
The forward - who plays predominantly on the wing - has appeared four times for Brazil's Under-23 side, netting three times, as well as five strikes in just six games for the Under-20s.
Guardiola is also hunting Colombian forward Marlos Moreno in his bid to add more punch to his striking ranks, alongside Sergio Aguero.
Moreno's agent said: "I will travel with Marlos on Saturday to sign a contract with Manchester City.
"He will then go on loan to Deportivo La Coruna for a year."
