Arsenal transfer news: Julian Draxler wants to leave Wolfsburg but Juventus move is off after Italians cool interest
Gunners have been linked all summer for German midfielder who has revealed he wants to leave Germans
JULIAN DRAXLER has revealed that he wants to leave Wolfsburg - but he won't be going to Juventus after the Italian giants ruled themselves out of a move.
The German international, 22, has been a long-term target for Arsenal and today claimed that Wolfsburg have known he is leaving for over three weeks.
But the Bundesliga side had come out and told fans that Draxler had no desire to leave - something that he told Bild was untrue.
He said: "Before you go public like that, you really should speak with me first.
"The situation with me is that I made it clear to (head coach) Dieter Hecking after we were knocked out of Euro 2016 in the semi-final that I would like to leave Wolfsburg.
"The coach has known about this for three weeks. It's very surprising that they have been talking about me to the media for weeks.
"I would have expected things to be different, for example for one of them to come to me and ask me how things are with me."
And in a twist, according to Italian , Draxler is NOT a target for Juve and Arsenal is his most probable destination.
Draxler continued: "When I joined, I was assured - verbally - that I could leave the club whenever the opportunity arose.
