Footage has emerged of the fan jumping from a large height to try and reach the Argentinian
A FAN risked injury in a mad attempt to get a picture with Barcelona star Lionel Messi.
The footage, which emerged on social media, appears to have been taken at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
It shows a supporter leaping from his seat and down quite a distance to try and meet the Barcelona man.
The footage echoes the crazy scenes that saw a Messi fan swim a kilometre onto his yacht to try and get a picture - that one worked.
After leaping down, the supporter briefly grabs Messi before he is almost immediately tackled by a security.
The guard smashes the fan out of shot before the brief video cuts out.
The footage looks to have been taken during a Barca training session at the stadium ahead of their pre-season friendly with Celtic over the weekend.
Luis Enrique's side won that friendly in the Republic of Ireland 3-1.
Arda Turan opened the scoring before a Leigh Griffiths equaliser.
However, an Efe Ambrose own goal and then a Munir strike was enough to see Brendan Rodgers' men lose.
