West Ham transfer news: Slaven Bilic will make last-ditch bid to hijack Idrissa Gueye’s move to Everton
Hammers are willing to match the £7.1million fixed fee in Gueye's contract with Aston Villa
WEST HAM boss Slaven Bilic is making a last-ditch bid to hijack Aston Villa star Idrissa Gueye's move to Everton.
The Hammers are willing to match the £7.1 million fixed fee in Gueye's contract with the relegated outfit and try to talk him into the switch.
Midfield destroyer Gueye has been waiting to sort out a move to the Goodison club for days, with Marseille also keen on his signature.
But now the Hammers have said they will take him and await permission to close the deal from Villa who are under siege because of the low price tag.
Gueye was rated just behind N'golo Kante in the statistics table last season when it came to defensive midfielders and he is a FIFTH of the cost.
