WOLVES have sacked head coach Kenny Jackett after three seasons in charge at the Molineux club just days before new Championship season.
New club supremo Jeff Shi has made the decision to relieve Jackett of his duties having joined the club in 2013 - leading the club to immediate promotion back to the Championship.
In an official club statement, Shi said: “I would like to sincerely thank Kenny for everything he’s done for Wolves over the last three years.
“He’s shown true professionalism during his tenure and over the course of the transition to new ownership. I would like to wish him all the very best for the future.”

The decision comes only four days after the club stated Jackett’s position was not under threat, with Wolves’ takeover having been completed last week.
Wolves go to Rotherham in eight days time in the first game of the new Championship season.
Rumours on social media already have former Hull boss Steve Bruce, who left the club last week, as the favourite to replace Jackett in the west Midlands.
