The duo have been constantly linked with a move to the blue side of Manchester and Guardiola has publicly stated his desire to close the deals.
Everton have slapped a £50million asking price on Stones whilst Schalke winger Sane could move for a fee in the region of £42m.
Speaking after City's 6-5 penalty win over Borussia Dortmund, the Spaniard said: "Sane is a player from Schalke. If he comes, we'll be happy. If he stays, I'll be happy for the Schalke fans."
Guardiola was also coy on Stones although did admit that they will try to sign him.
"It's the same answer for Sane - he's a player for Everton.
"Everyone knows we're going to try but I don't know what's going to happen."
