ALEXANDRE PATO has joined Villarreal.
The Brazilian striker had a disastrous loan spell at Chelsea from January where he managed one goal in just two appearances.
And Corinthians decided to cash in on Pato, 26, as his contract was due to run out at the end of 2016.
But now the former AC Milan star will attempt to resurrect his career in La Liga where he has penned a deal until 2020.
In an Instagram post, Pato wrote: "I am very happy about this new challenge in my career with Villarreal!
"I arrive with a lot of desire and excitement!"
Pato was one of world football's most promising young talents when he burst onto the scene in Serie A in 2007.

But injuries plighted his progression and he was brought back to his homeland by Corinthians.
Pato played 62 games for Corinthians and scored 17 times while also netting 38 times in 101 appearances on loan at Sao Paulo.
The Blues then made a shock move for the former Internacional man and took him to Stamford Bridge on loan in January.
Pato struggled with his fitness and was unable to make an impact to force a permanent move to the club.
Corinthians were then angered by Pato as he seemed to be offered a move to Lazio but turned them down.
