Juve’s Gonzalo Higuain goes from 96th to third in the all-time list of most expensive players
Argentine striker has cost a total £117.6million - only Angel di Maria and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have been bought for more
GONZALO HIGUAIN'S £75.3million move from Napoli to Italian champions Juventus is the third biggest transfer of all time.
It also puts the Argentine striker third in the list of highest cumulative transfer fees behind Angel di Maria and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Former Real Madrid star Higuain, who has signed a five-year deal, has now cost a total of £117.6m.
And it means he has jumped overnight from being the 96th most expensive player of all time to the third.
Over the years only di Mario and Ibrahimovic have cost more.
Winger Di Maria's moves from Benfica to Real Madrid to Manchester United and on to Paris St Germain amount to £150.4m.
