LYON reveal they have rejected a £29.5million bid from Arsenal for Alexandre Lacazette.
In an unconventional move, the French club posted a statement to their 903,000 followers on Twitter.
While they also denied the French striker had been the subject of a £40.1m offer from the Gunners.
The statement read: “Olympique Lyonnais categorically denies having received a €48m (£40.1m) offer from Arsenal for Alexandre Lacazette like Le Progres claims in their edition this morning.
“The club regrets yet again that Le Progres did not decide to contact us before publishing this false information that has created confusion on the day where the Group, on the stock exchange, publishes its annual accounts showing €218.1m (£183.63m), a progression of 111 per cent from 2014/15.
“The reality is that the Arsenal made an offer worth €35m (£29.5m), which Lyon did not follow up on for one reason: OL will keep Alexandre Lacazette who is irreplaceable and who is one of the main leaders in Bruno Genesio’s squad.”

Lacazette is thought to been interested in a move to the Emirates, having reportedly told club officials he wanted to leave.
However, Arsenal cooled their interest after being quoted at £50m.
