Jose Mourinho’s six-man Roma transfer wishlist includes forgotten Golden Boy winner Renato Sanches and Raul Jimenez
JOSE MOURINHO has drawn up a six-man transfer shortlist as he sets his sights on bringing in a number of new faces to Roma.
The Portuguese manager - who will be a SunSport pundit for Euro 2020 - was appointed the boss of the Italian side from the beginning of next season just two weeks after being sacked by Tottenham.
Among those is Mourinho's fellow countryman Renato Sanches, a player who won the Golden Boy award for Young Player of the Tournament at Euro 2016 but then went on to perform shockingly on loan at Swansea City.
Since then, he signed for Lille in 2019 and has begun to re-build his reputation at the Ligue 1 table toppers.
Another player who is also being linked with a move to Roma is Wolves striker Raul Jimenez.
The 30-year-old Mexican has been sensational in the Premier League for the last two seasons before suffering an horrific clash of heads with David Luiz earlier in this campaign which has left him on the sidelines indefinitely.
Mourinho is also said to be looking at recruiting two players from his former club Tottenham in Eric Dier and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Dier performed well for Mourinho in the early part of the season but tailed off as Spurs' form began to unravel.
But Hojbjerg was ever-present for the Portuguese coach since arriving last summer and has clearly been one of the Lilywhites' best players.

Then there is Nemanja Matic, who Mourinho brought to Old Trafford during his time at Manchester United.
The Red Devils midfielder has only played 16 times in the Premier League this season as the likes of Fred and Scott McTominay have been selected ahead of him.
And the final man who Mourinho is said to be interested in is Real Madrid forward Isco.
Under Zinedine Zidane the Spaniard has been in and out of the side, scoring just twice in 23 LaLiga games since the beginning of the season.
Roma currently sit seventh in Serie A under outgoing manager Paulo Fonseca, so Mourinho faces a tough challenge if he is to get them back into the top four.
