SPAIN have named Julen Lopetegui as their new manager.
The former Porto boss replaces Vicente Del Bosque, who quit after his side’s failure at Euro 2016.
Spain, who were two-time defending champions, lost to Italy in the first knockout round in France this summer.
The ex-Real Madrid coach won the European Championships in 2012 and beat Holland in the 2010 World Cup final in South Africa.
Lopetegui, 49, has been a free agent since he was sacked by the Portuguese giants in January.
He was axed after going just three games without victory, including a loss to title rivals Sporting Lisbon.
