DAVID MOYES is set to be named Sam Allardyce's replacement, who is prepared to accept the England job.

The FA have decided the current Black Cats' gaffer is the man to replace Roy Hodgson.

And Ellis Short is not dragging his feet over naming a replacement with unemployed Moyes seen as the man to do the job.

Moyes has been out of work since he left Real Sociedad last season after a string of poor results in La Liga.

Before that he was Sir Alex Ferguson's replacement at Manchester United, but faied to qualify for the Champions League and was sacked by Ed Woodward.

Moyes is most famous for steadying the ship during his ten seasons at Everton, including the one year in 2005 he even got them into the Champions League - but they missed out during the qualifying rounds of the competition.

The 53-year-old was recently snapped in Jordan where he was sharing coaching tips with the national team's backroom staff.
