Alvaro Morata faces a decision over where to play next

ALVARO MORATA has pleaded with Zinedine Zidane to clarify his future at Real Madrid so that he can make a decision over whether to join Chelsea.

Los Blancos youth product Morata has been at Juventus for the last two seasons in a boomerang deal that saw the 23-year-old play for two years in Turin before Real exercised their buy-back rights.

According to , Real are deciding whether to either keep him or make a healthy profit on the forward.

Chelsea are keenly interested in Morata, with Antonio Conte in DAILY contact with the player - having given him assurances over his place in the Stamford Bridge squad.

With Roman Abramovich ready to stump up £50million for the striker, it would represent a healthy profit for Real.

And with the player ready to ask testing questions of his French boss, it makes the deal look more certain.

But as SunSport reported yesterday, if Morata is given assurances by Zidane, then he is happy to sign a new deal at the club he came through the ranks at.

Zidane called the player on his holidays on board his yacht in Formentera and gave him assurances over his future in a short conversation, before he drops in with the squad in Montreal.

He would also stand to earn a lot more money in the Premier League than at Real.

Should Real also suddenly have £50m in the bank, it would surely give the club renewed impetus to sign Paul Pogba from under Manchester United's noses - with reports suggesting the European champions are searching for new ways to finance the deal.
