Liverpool transfer news: Reds agree deal for flop keeper Adam Bogdan to join Championship newcomers Wigan

LIVERPOOL have agreed for Adam Bogdan to join Wigan.

The Hungary international, 28, was allowed to leave after Loris Karius’ £4.7million arrival from Mainz.

Bogdan is set to complete his move to the DW Stadium to be part of their Championship campaign after a year at Anfield.

He played in two Premier League games last season under Jurgen Klopp but the Kop boss recalled

Danny Ward from a loan after concerns over Bogdan’s form.

Karius’ signing means the German will compete with Simon Mignolet for the No1 jersey next season.

The stopper, 23, gave up on playing in the Olympics for his country to make sure he completed his move.

Karius arrives at Anfield with nearly a century of Mainz games under his belt and is  a German international at all six levels below the seniors.
