Luis Enrique has been searching for a new left-back to give Jordi Alba some much-needed competition, with Chelsea star Cesar Azpilicueta linked in recent times.

But Antonio Conte has made it clear he will not part ways with the versatile full-back, and it now appears that Digne will be the man for the Spanish champions.

It’s claimed a fee worth £16.5million has been agreed for the 22-year-old, who spent the last season on loan at Roma.

And Digne has penned a five-year contract ahead of an official presentation to fans and media on Thursday.

It’s set to be a busy summer of ins and outs at Barcelona following last year’s transfer embargo, with recent arrival Arda Turan linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Juventus.

The odds of Gerard Pique re-joining Manchester United have been drastically slashed by bookies, while Manchester City are said to be eyeing up Claudio Bravo as a replacement for England international Joe Hart.

There are also doubts over the long-term future of Lionel Messi after he was sentenced to 21 months in jail for tax fraud.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in securing a world-record deal for the current Ballon d’Or holder, although Barcelona remain confident of tying him down to a new deal.

Veteran midfielder Andres Iniesta is also in line to receive a fresh contract after playing a starring role alongside Ivan Rakitic last season, while Neymar’s future was secured at the start of the month.

The Brazilian superstar was heavily linked with a big-money move to PSG, but Unai Emery’s side will now have to meet Neymar’s £210m release clause if they want to fill the gap left by Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s free transfer to Man United.
