Wilfried Bony set to end Manchester City nightmare with Galatasaray offering a £3m loan spell in Turkey

WILFRIED BONY is set to end his Manchester City nightmare with Galatasaray offering a £3million loan spell in Turkey.

The Ivorian has scored 10 goals in 18 months at the Etihad and has struggled to make an impact under Manuel Pellegrini.

And with Pep Guardiola taking over at City, Bony has been deemed surplus to requirements.

It marks a familiar tale for City stars, the 27-year-old following the same path as the likes of Scott Sinclair and Alvaro Negredo.

Bony was in flying form when at Swansea before the switch to Manchester and after a slow start, netted 34 times in 56 starts in all competitions.

The Swans are also known to have a big interest in bringing Bony back to South Wales, after his £28m in January 2015.

If the Galatasaray transfer does go ahead, the Turkish club will be in pole position to land Bony on a permanent basis, if they stump-up £17m next summer.

The club have been banned from European competition by Uefa this season for breaking Financial Fair Play rules after missing their target of breaking even.

Reports suggest Dutch star Wesley Sneijder wants a move AWAY from Gala after they were booted out of Europe for 12 months. New Everton boss Ronald Koeman is favourite to sign the Dutchman.

Bony has posted a series of videos showing off his training routine to get ready for pre-season at City.

He seemed to enjoy himself when juggling a ball while emerging out for his first training session under Guardiola’s new regime at the Etihad Campus.

A City source said: “The club think they can get a better deal somewhere else for straight cash but Bony will have a big say.”
