WELL played.
A touching moment was captured in the streets of Paris after Portugal defeated France 1-0 in the Euro 2016 final when a young Portuguese boy consoled a devastated French supporter (watch video below).
Portugal did not play to the script and shocked the favourites France with a victory courtesy of Eder's 109th-minute long-range strike.
It was all too much for this French fan, who broke down in tears after the game before a little Portuguese boy arrives and embraces him.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who was forced off with an injury in the 25th minute of the final, described lifting Portugal's first major honour as "one of the happiest moments of my life".
He said: "Today was unfortunate with my injury but I always believed that these players would be strong enough with the manager's tactics. It's one of the happiest moments of my life."
