Euro 2016 Final: Moussa Sissoko puts in a top performance for France against Portugal and Twitter has gone nuts
Newcastle midfielder puts in high-quality showing at Stade de France and fans can't help themselves from tweeting
ALL eyes were on Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann when France kicked off their Euro 2016 final against Portugal.
But the two superstars have been put to shame by an absolute monster of a first half from none other than relegated Newcastle man Moussa Sissoko.
The versatile midfielder had 84 per cent pass accuracy in the opening 45 minutes, and also performed six take-ons as well as cracking off three shots and winning two tackles.
It’s hard to believe it’s the same Sissoko who failed to turn up for Newcastle last season as Rafa Benitez’s men plunged down to the Championship.
Toon hero and SunSport columnist Alan Shearer exclaimed: "This is a different Sissoko I've seen at Newcastle - it must be his twin brother!"
And it appears Sissoko is now playing for a move away this summer – according to Twitter experts anyway.
One user wrote: “Why are people acting shocked by Sissoko’s performance? It’s not rocket science, he is performing so he can get offers from big clubs.”
