Euro 2016 semi-final heartache means Joe Ledley can marry his fiancee on weekend of final

JOE LEDLEY missed out on one perfect match this weekend — but he has another one to look forward to tomorrow.

The Wales midfielder saw the dream of a Euro 2016 final at the Stade de France snatched away by Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal.

But semi-final heartache means he will at least get to marry fiancee Ruby May in Ibiza.

Last night he boarded a flight from Brittany to the sunshine island — and he misses tonight’s homecoming in Cardiff.

Chris Coleman’s squad have an open top bus parade through their capital before going to the Cardiff City Stadium for a huge celebration.

Crystal Palace ace Ledley, 29, said: “The boys are going back to Wales to see the fans but I’ve got the wedding so it’s Ibiza instead.

“Most of the lads are not invited!

“I think I know deep down how much the support back home has meant. We should go down in history for what we have done without a shadow of doubt.”
