Jose Mourinho: Manchester United manager shows the world the inside his office in United’s Carrington training base
JOSE MOURINHO has let the world into his office at Manchester United's Carrington training complex, which includes its own exercise bike.
The Portuguese boss posted this snap of his plush office on his Instagram account today, and he seems to be keeping a particular eye on his captain, Wayne Rooney.
Getting his fitness ready for the rigueurs of a Premier League season, The Special One has his bike in his office so he can work out while watching his TV, which was showing Rooney on his screen on the picture he uploaded.
It has been reported that Rooney will keep the captaincy at United next season, and Mourinho said during his unveiling that he sees the 30-year-old as a forward, not deeper in midfield where he played for England in their woeful Euro 2016 campaign. Rooney is currently on his post-season break in Ibiza after Euro 2016.
Mourinho said: "One thing that will never change is his natural appetite to put the ball in the net. Maybe he is not a striker, not a No. 9 anymore. But with me he will never be a No. 6, playing 50m from goal. Yes, his passing is amazing but mine is also amazing without pressure. Many players have a great pass, but to put the ball in the net is the most difficult. He will be a No. 9, a No. 10, a No. 9.5, but never a No. 6 or a No. 8."
