Manchester City hero Roberto Mancini the new name linked with the England job after Euro 2016 fiasco forced Roy Hodgson out
ROBERTO MANCINI is the latest name to be thrown into the threadbare hat to be the next England manager after the Euro 2016 farce.
The former Manchester City manager has been linked with the vacant FA post after Under-21s boss Gareth Southgate rejected the chance to work with the Wembley blazers.
Even BBC presenter Gary Lineker ruled himself out of the running, though pundits Alan Shearer and Rio Ferdinand volunteered their services.
The Italian won the Premier League and FA Cup with City but was responsible for bringing serial flop Mario Balotelli to England - so he might suit the current Three Lions squad.
