Swansea complete signing of Leroy Fer for undisclosed fee, believed to be around £4.75m
The Dutch midfielder joins The Swans from QPR on a three-year contract after a successful loan spell last season
LEROY Fer has completed his permanent move to Swansea City from Queens Park Rangers for an undisclosed fee, believed to be around £4.75m.
The 26-year-old Dutch midfielder has signed a three-year contract at the Liberty Stadium after impressing boss Francesco Guidolin during a loan spell last season.
“At the end of the season he said he wanted to keep me here and when the coach wants you, that makes it easy.
“I am very happy to be back. From the first moment I came here, I felt at home."
When the central midfielder arrived at The Liberty Stadium, Swansea were in the midst of a relegation battle.
But his performances helped The Swans avoid the dreaded drop into the Championship with plenty to spare.
Fer began his career in England with Norwich City, before joining QPR in February 2014 in an £8m deal.
He has been capped 11 times by the Netherlands.
Meanwhile rumours are ongoing that Swansea are continuing to monitor Wales hero Joe Allen's situation at Liverpool.
The man dubbed the 'Welsh Pirlo' is entering into the final year of his contract at Anfield, and could be available for £10m - £5m less than the Swans sold him to Liverpool for in 2012.
