MANCHESTER UNITED are investigating after Chris Smalling was rushed to hospital after an accident while surfing in Bali.
Smalling has jetted off to the Indonesian island after England's Euro 2016 exit at the hands of Iceland.
But now pictures have emerged claiming to show the 26-year-old defender on a drip in hospital with his head bandaged and in a brace.
It is claimed the centre-back suffered a heavy fall while taking surfing lessons during his escape to the idyllic Far Eastern destination - and he may even have been stung by a jelly fish.
Smalling appears to be signing a Manchester United shirt for a hospital worker while laid up on a drip on a stretcher.
