JOE HART will get next season to prove himself to new Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
The Spaniard is set to pick England’s No 1 for the campaign start — despite criticism over his Euro 2016 displays.
Hart, 29, was blamed for letting in Gareth Bale’s free-kick against Wales and for failing to stop Iceland’s soft winner which knocked England out of the tournament. Barcelona’s Claudio Bravo has been linked with an Etihad move but Guardiola will stick with his keepers.

That means Willy Caballero seeing out the final year of his deal — and Hart starting when the Premier League starts in mid-August.
Guardiola has landed forward Nolito from Celta Vigo and is expected to add John Stones, 22, and Leroy Sane, 20. But he is reluctant to rip up Manuel Pellegrini’s team completely and replace a goalkeeper who has been at the club for a decade.
And Yaya Toure could now start the season at City — despite the arrival of rival Ilkay Gundogan.
Inter Milan, who are interested in the Ivory Coast midfielder, 33, are struggling to put a package together.
