And he will then hold covert talks with Sir Alex Ferguson before dismantling the ‘Big Brother’ cameras installed by former boss Louis van Gaal.

New Red Devils boss Mourinho has been sunning himself in the Maldives ahead of the new season.

And SunSport understands that the Portuguese will return to work a week ahead of schedule to cook up a masterplan with Fergie to return the club to the summit of English football.

Another item on his agenda will be tearing down the cameras at the club's Carrington training ground which sacked boss Van Gaal had installed.

The Dutchman requested the cameras be put in alongside training pitches as part of £3million worth of improvements when he took over in the summer of 2014.

Van Gaal initially wanted to implement a 3-4-1-2 formation with United’s players, after his success with it at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with his Netherlands team.

He wanted to use the cameras to study players' progress as he coached them new tactics.

He also introduced changes to the squad’s dining arrangements and overhauled the pitches at Carrington.

And Mourinho is so desperate to make his own mark on the Red Devils’ set-up that he will return to work a week early.

Mourinho has already bagged defender Eric Bailly this summer in a £30m deal from Villarreal.

And he appears set to clinch two massive signings by the end of the summer.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is inching closer to joining on a free transfer after retiring from Sweden duty following his country’s exit from Euro 2016.

And Dortmund are set to sell playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan to United for around £26m.
