Liverpool made shock favourites to sign Manchester United’s Memphis Depay as flop continues intense training regime
Bookmaker Ladbrokes reckons Reds are in pole position as Dutch winger shows off gruelling pre-season fitness program

MEMPHIS DEPAY is continuing to hit the gym ahead of Manchester United’s pre-season, but could the winger actually be preparing for a move to Liverpool this summer?
Bookmaker Ladbrokes have made Jurgen Klopp’s side favourites to sign the Dutch flop as new boss Jose Mourinho prepares to wield the axe at Old Trafford.
The Special One is looking to bring in a number of his own players after taking over from Louis van Gaal, and Depay is reportedly set for the chop.
The ex-PSV Eindhoven star was a huge disappointment in his maiden Premier League campaign, finding the back of the net just twice despite scoring 22 goals the year before.
Depay spent much of his time on the bench as youngsters including Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford took advantage to cement themselves as first-team players, and an exit could be on the cards.
The likes of Stoke and Leicester are believed to be interested, but United’s fierce rivals Liverpool are shock 7/4 favourites to secure Depay’s signature.

Klopp has already splashed the cash on Southampton’s Sadio Mane but could now be ready to launch a move for the 22-year-old.
Leicester, Stoke and PSV all follow Liverpool in the odds, with Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Manchester City also said to be in the running.
Depay could be tempted to up sticks after just one year for the right move, and appears to be trying to impress after posting another fitness video to his official Instagram page.
As reported by SunSport last week, Depay is keeping himself in tip-top shape with a gruelling personal training program which involves long runs and lifting weights.
And Depay has been showing off the results of his hard work with more snippets for fans, including one shot of him going for a jog on a trail path.
Depay is also believed to be working on his upper body strength to combat the physical trials of English football, and included a video of himself powering through some notoriously-difficult close-hand press-ups.
