Manchester United transfer news: United to land Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan as pair prepare for medicals

Old Trafford chiefs agree fee for Dortmund midfielder whilst Swedish star will undergo a medical next week

JOSE MOURINHO is close to landing his two main targets Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Manchester United have agreed a fee in the region of £26.3million for Mkhitaryan, 27, whilst Ibrahimovic, 35, looks set to complete his lengthy transfer saga when undergoing a medical next week.

The Armenian ace has a year left on his contract at Dortmund but Mourinho has been desperate to bring the playmaker in to add some much needed goal-threat from midfield.

Last night SunSport revealed how Dortmund officials had arrived in Manchester to thrash out a deal, after United finally caved in to the attacking midfielder's asking price.

He netted over 50 goals last season as PSG romped to the Ligue 1 title and Jose will hope his experience will be key in a title push.

With nine titles in ten seasons, the Swedish superstar certainly fits the pedigree and is a signal of intent from the Special One.

He will fly over to Manchester next week once personal terms are agreed to complete a medical.
