ALL football fans love a speed demon.
Whether they’re tearing through an opposition’s defence or charging back to make a thunderous tackle, a player with pace can quickly become a crowd favourite.
And with Euro 2016’s group stages now over, UEFA has revealed just who has been the quickest ace on the field in France.
To be fair, there are many agile athletes on show in the tournament, with England’s Jamie Vardy famed for his darting runs behind high defensive lines.
Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo has shown he can keep up with players 10 years his junior, while Wales’ Gareth Bale and Belgium’s Eden Hazard are prone to impressive bursts of speed.
But according to UEFA, none of these big names come close to Euro 2016’s fastest pro.
