Everton eye giving former Manchester United flop Nani another Premier League chance
Toffees face competition from Valencia and Inter Milan for Portuguese winger
EVERTON are showing interest in giving former Manchester United winger Nani another crack at the Premier League.
New Toffees boss Ronald Koeman has reportedly asked about the Portuguese star, who is currently plying his trade for Fenerbahce.
The 29-year-old has a £6.5million release clause in his contract with the Super Lig outfit – Valencia and Inter Milan have already tabled offers for him.
Turkey’s Dogan News Agency also claimed recently that Jose Mourinho was leading the charge to re-sign Nani, who scored his second goal at Euro 2016 in the 3-3 draw with Hungary in Lyon on Wednesday.
Nani originally signed for United for £18m from Sporting in 2007, and although he made a promising start, he would see first-team opportunities become scarcer in his final three seasons at the club before joining Fenerbahce permanently in July 2015.
He finished his Old Trafford career with 41 goals in 230 appearances.
Meanwhile, another former Manchester United player, goalkeeper Victor Valdes, could also be on his way to Goodison Park.
The Spaniard is a free agent following his release by the Red Devils, where he made just two Premier League appearances after joining in January 2015.
The former Barcelona stopped has also been linked with a move across Manchester to City.
Everton are in need of a new goalkeeper after Tim Howard left at the end of the last season.
