Liverpool close in on £25million transfer of Southampton striker Sadio Mane
Kop boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to splash the cash to land player who has been heavily linked with Manchester United
LIVERPOOL are closing in on the £25million signing of Southampton ace Sadio Mane.
Boss Jurgen Klopp has set his sights on Mane to boost his strikeforce.
And he is determined to land a player who has been heavily linked with Manchester United.
Saints would double their money on a man who joined for £12m from Salzburg nearly two years ago.
The Senegal international, 24, impressed Klopp in March when he scored twice in a 3-2 win over Liverpool.
But he did miss a penalty in that game AND get sent off in the return at Anfield.
It represents another blow to Southampton, who are resigned to losing midfielder Victor Wanyama to Tottenham and have seen boss Ronald Koeman leave for Everton.
Liverpool have a recent history of raiding St Mary’s, signing Dejan Lovren, Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Nathaniel Clyne.
