The Spanish striker has scored twice at Euro 2016

REAL MADRID will demand a whopping £58 million for Alvaro Morata after paying his £24 million buy-back clause from Juventus.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, should the Champions League holders decide to sell the striker for a second time they will only offload him for a huge profit.

Arsenal and Chelsea are set to battle it out to sign the in-form star, 23, who has netted twice for Spain at Euro 2016.

Juventus's chief executive Giuseppe Marotta confirmed on Tuesday that Madrid will buy Morata back two years after selling him.

Marotta is quoted as saying: "Real Madrid have informed us of their intention to exercise the right to buy back [Morata], we are just waiting for a written offer.

"Only then will we see how to proceed, but at the moment the possibility of Morata staying are slim.

While Morata has played well in France, he wasn't prolific for Juve this season, netting just 12 goals in all competitions.

The striker has revealed he had several issues throughout the campaign, including a groin injury which many knew nothing about.

He told Marca: "It was tough this year to go three months without a single goal. It was a very difficult time for me, for a host of different reasons.

"I'd parted ways with my girlfriend, my family had a few problems and I had an injury that most people didn't know about, a groin inflammation.

"Anyone who experienced it knows that it's among the most bothersome things you can have. It's incredibly painful and it keeps you from shooting and crossing."

While the star didn't want to speak about his next move at the moment, preferring to concentrate on his country's Euro 2016 bid, Morata admitted his future "doesn't depend on me".

According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve had been told by Madrid that the La Liga side will pay the agreed buy-back clause by June 30.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has turned his intentions to Morata after missing out on England striker Jamie Vardy, who appears to have decided to stay at Leicester.

New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is also thought be keen on the Serie A winner after Diego Costa managed just 16 goals in all competitions for the Blues.
