ENGLAND skipper Wayne Rooney is set to be rested by Roy Hodgson on Monday night against Slovakia.
Liverpool's Jordan Henderson looks set to replace the captain in one of six changes.
Daniel Sturridge, Jamie Vardy, Jack Wilshere, Ryan Bertrand and Nathaniel Clyne all come in.
Dele Alli, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker, Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling step down.
England will win the group if they triumph but Hodgson making so many changes is a risk.
Rooney has won rave reviews in his new midfield role.
But the decision to replace Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling with Vardy and Sturridge – who both came on and scored in the 2-1 win over Wales – was expected.
Alli, though is understood to be angry with Wilshere starting ahead of him.
Right-back Walker has been England’s most consistent player but is set to be rested for Clyne.
And Spurs team-mate Rose could also be replaced at left-back by Bertrand.
Asked about whether he was going to make changes, Hodgson was coy.
He said: “I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary. The players are in good shape.
“It wouldn’t be a problem if I wanted to keep the same side, but there are players who would like to play and have been knocking on the door to play.
“I have the option because everyone is anxious to show what they want to do. It’s a question of what we’d like to do, rather than what is necessary.”

As for Kane being a substitute, Hodgson said: “I’ve spoken to Harry and he’s been very good in training the last couple of days.
"He’s not suffering more from the season than anyone else. We have other players who haven’t played quite so regularly, but there’s no problem in that respect.
"As for Jamie and Daniel, they did very well when they came on and would like another chance.
"We have options in those front positions. It’s a decision that has to be made.”
