RELEGATED Newcastle want to beat Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal to 17-year-old Reece Oxford in a season-long loan deal.

Toon boss Rafa Benitez believes the England Under-19s kid can inspire them to an immediate return to the Premier League.

Oxford recently denied he had turned down a new offer under West Ham boss Slaven Bilic

The London-born kid had wanted £40,000 a week and a £1million signing-on fee to commit his future to the Hammers.

It is also thought he has been the subject of £8m bids from the two Manchester giants while Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was said to be keeping tabs.

However, Oxford is not convinced he will get regular football next season as West Ham target Champions League football in their new Olympic Stadium home.

And Newcastle bosses believe he is good enough to form a regular part of their Championship team.
