RAHEEM STERLING has again been a target for angry England fans at Euro 2016.

The Manchester City winger was disappointing in the opening game against Russia and followed that with an even worse performance against Wales.

The abuse led to Sterling, bought by Manchester City for £49million last summer, dubbing himself the 'Hated One' after the first game.

But after England boss Roy Hodgson hauled him off at half-time against Wales, it has now gone a step further.

One fan, Aaron Bamford, set up a JustGiving page - .

It took mere hours for England fans to reach the £200 (presumably for a ferry ticket) target.

Bamford had wrote: "Let's face it we're all sick of seeing this idiot mince down the wing and fail to deliver a half decent ball into the box.

"We'll bring the lad home and then we can all stop cringing every time a gust of wind knocks him over.

"Don't worry about being generous, we're of one mind.

"A penny each will cover it I imagine.

"If we raise enough money we'll fire the little cretin into space and do the Citeh boys a favour long term.

"Any actual donations will be given to Dougie Mac [the Douglas MacMillan Hospice in Staffordshire].";

Furstrated Three Lions fans quickly poured money into the page, with more than £300 raised by 1.30pm on Friday.

Bamford also gave an update, revealing that the page was "set up as a laugh".

He wrote: "I'm not too sure if people are aware of where the funds are going as the page was initially set up as a laugh (I never thought it'd actually get approved) however any funds will go to Dougie Mac."

He later added: "You never know [Sterling] might actually get out on the touchline and cross properly, beat a defender or even score one from six yards then.

"Even better, he does all that and chucks a tenner in the pot.

"All jokes aside though the guy used to terrorise defenders at Liverpool, that's the Stirling I want to see in an England shirt."
