Tyneside manager Rafa Benitez is desperate to hold onto Sissoko - currently playing for France at Euro 2016 - but knows he will struggle to convince him to stay.

report both Jurgen Klopp and Antonio Conte are monitoring the Frenchman's situation at Newcastle.

But Hamburg have tabled a £9.5million bid for Sissoko, meaning the Premier League giants may have to move quickly if they want to get their man.

Liverpool and Chelsea are both looking to strengthen their squads this transfer window.

Sissoko could act as back up for Brazilian duo Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino, or could replace Joe Allen if deployed deeper in the midfield.

And Conte knows the pressure is on at Stamford Bridge after the Blues' disastrous tenth-place finish last season.

The Italian could be tempted to poach the Newcastle ace and use him as a squad player alongside Eden Hazard, Willian, Oscar and Pedro.

Sissoko underperformed for Toon most of last season, scoring just once in 37 outings, but showed glimpses of brilliance towards the end.

The Magpies signed Sissoko from Touloujse in 2013 for £1.8m and he has netted 11 times in 118 appearances.
