GROUP B CHAOS

Russia chop could mean Wales and England need to finish first and second to qualify from Group B

Disqualification would see all points won against the Russians forfeited

ENGLAND and Wales will have to finish first and second to qualify from their group if Russia are booted out of Euro 2016.

The Russians were slapped with a suspended disqualification and £119,000 fine after fan violence before and after their 1-1 draw with the Three Lions on Saturday.

Any more violence will see them expelled and all their matches and points forfeited.

Two teams qualify from each group in addition to the four best third-placed sides.

But because only six points would remain available to the three teams left in Group B, it would be impossible for the third-placed team to qualify.

In that event, England would need to beat Slovakia in order to qualify alongside Wales.

The Welsh would already have one foot in the second round having beaten the Slovakians 2-1 on Saturday.

Uefa has confirmed its emergency committee will meet to discuss how to resolve the problem, which could potentially leave Group B at a disadvantage.

England also remain at risk of expulsion after the governing body warned it could be disqualified if fans became embroiled in more trouble.

That led to captain Wayne Rooney and manager Roy Hodgson begging Three Lions supporters to behave themselves for the remainder of the tournament.

Russia coach Leonid Slutsky is confident his country's support will cause no more trouble after two England fans were left in intensive care following violence in Marseille on Saturday.

He said: "We are sure our supporters will not do the same and will not give any reasons to disqualify our team."
