MANCHESTER UNITED could still do a lot worse than signing 34-year-old Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Even after a slow start. against an impressive Republic of Ireland, he helped his side grab a crucial goal and proved he still has the golden touch.

THREAT

QUIET in the first half but always ready to spring into life. Did exactly that by  setting up Ciaran Clark’s own goal to level the scores.

Before that Zlatan fired wide with a decent volley.

TEAMWORK

SEEN in his own area defending set-pieces and his assist was all about unselfishness.

When the Irish goal went in it was Ibra  rallying the troops.  Yes, his ego means it is all about him but he also leads by example.

VERDICT

IBRAHIMOVIC is made for Manchester United.

He ticks all the boxes and can make a big impact, even if he won’t start every game under Jose Mourinho.

Would  bring a lot to Old Trafford.
