West Ham United fixtures 2016-17: Bournemouth will be Hammers’ first visitors to their new home at the Olympic Stadium
New home, new badge and a fresh sense of optimism for Hammers fans after money-spinning Stratford switch
LAST season was all about honouring tradition for West Ham fans as they said farewell to the Boleyn Ground for the final time.
The famous old venue hosted its last match in a thrilling 3-2 win over Manchester United.
But now there is a fresh sense of optimism at West Ham, with a new badge and a newly renovated Olympic Stadium in Stratford to boast.
And it will be Bournemouth who will be the first Premier League visitors to play there on August 20 after the top-flight fixtures were announced on Wednesday.
Surely this is the perfect time for Slaven Bilic's team to push on to greater honours and an assault on the top four.
