“This is my home, it’s a great day. I want to become an Arsenal legend and maybe leave a legacy.”

Gunners legend Wright then promptly joined the chat to congratulate Aubameyang on his new contract.

Clearly emotional, Wrighty beamed: “Oh my God I love you man!

“For you to sign for us in a time when we need you the most, when we’ve seen legends leave us when we needed them - you have legendary status.”

Aubameyang appeared to be taken back by Wright’s entrance and replied: “I’m honoured to have you join [the livestream].”

The Gabon star’s new deal now lays to rest any speculation of a free transfer next summer.

Aubameyang has scored an incredible 55 goals in just 86 Premier League matches since his £56million move from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018.

The forward lifted his first piece of silverware with the Gunners in August, scoring twice in the 2-1 win over Chelsea at Wembley.
