RELAXED Roy Hodgson mocked the world’s media by taking England’s final training session before the clash with Russia armed with a tiny tactics sheet.
Hodgson took to the field in Chantilly brandishing a small scrap of paper he pretended to work from as he planned the Three Lions side for the Euro 2016 opener.
The England boss was clearly being extra careful with his thoughts after SunSport exposed his team planning earlier this week.
Assistant boss Ray Lewington was caught out when snappers captured vital formation planning which showed Wayne Rooney was likely to be deployed in a deeper midfield role in Marseilles on Saturday.
Hodgson then proudly turned to face the photographers and held up the sheet, teasing them that no-one would be able to work out his tactics this time round.
The playful taunt was indicative of the relaxed atmosphere around the England camp as the squad finalise preparations for the Russia game.
England are expected to go with an attacking approach on Saturday with Hodgson leaning towards a 4-3-3 formation.
