Cristiano Ronaldo to expand his museum in preparation for ‘future trophies’
Real Madrid superstar's museum features two waxworks, an 11ft statue and over 170 trophies won over his illustrious career
CRISTIANO RONALDO is to expand his own museum - because it will need to house 'more trophies'.
The Real Madrid superstar, 31, will relocate his self-funded shrine to a new two-storey site in Funchal, close to where he was born in 1985.
His cousin and museum director Nuno Viveiros revealed the new site was necessary to 'be able to welcome Ronaldo's future trophies'.
The exhibition draws around 200,000 visitors each year and boasts two waxworks of the former Manchester United forward.
Visitors are greeted at the entrance by an 11ft bronze statue of Ronaldo himself, which was moved at the players request in December 2014.
Ronaldo will be targeting silverware at Euro 2016 - the only trophy seemingly missing from his vast collection.
On display are the forward's three Balon D'Or's, as well as 170 other accolades and medals won throughout his illustrious career.
But the international honours still allude him and Ronny will be hoping Portugal can be the shock outsiders in France.
