ENGLAND are being protected by a ring of steel at their five-star hotel in Chantilly.
Armed police were guarding their luxury Auberge du Jeu de Paume hotel north of Paris when Roy Hodgson’s squad checked in yesterday.
The Three Lions trained for the first time last night with a heavy security presence and this will continue throughout the tournament.
Cops will guard the hotel 24 hours a day and will constantly sweep the area to make sure the 23-man squad is safe. The FA has spared no expense in kitting out the hotel with luxuries including games consoles and cinema rooms.
Hodgson has also insisted on extra screens at the training ground to stop teams spying.
The England management felt the Italians were able to watch key training sessions ahead of the opening game at the 2014 World Cup.
