Euro 2016: Leicester’s Premier League winner Christian Fuchs set to captain Austria as defender is named in 23-man squad

Foxes hero will link up with three other Premier League stars as Marcel Kollers men prepare for this summer‘s tournament

Christian Fuchs will be hoping to win Euro 2016 against the odds like Leicester did in the Premier League

CHRISTIAN FUCHS will be looking to defy the odds with Austria at Euro 2016 — just like he did with Leicester this season.

The Foxes left-back made the cut in Marcel Koller's 23-man squad and will captain the team for this summer's tournament in France.

Fuchs, 30, is one of four Premier League stars named, along with Stoke's Marko Arnautovic, Kevin Wimmer of Tottenham and Watford defender Sebastien Prodl.

Koller made just one change to his provisional squad, dropping Salzburg midfielder Valentino Lazaro.

Austria kick off their campaign against Hungary in Group F on June 14 at the Stade de Bordeaux.

They then face Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal four days later at the Parc des Princes before their final Group Stage game against Iceland on June 22 in the national stadium — the Stade de France.

Manchester City target David Alaba, 23, has been named as a midfielder despite playing in defence for Bayern Munich.

Basel striker Marc Janko is expected to lead the line in France. The hitman has notched an impressive 26 goals in 51 appearances for Austria.
