Euro 2016: Jonjo Shelvey, Phil Jones and Kieran Gibbs chosen to model England’s Euro 2016 suit — even though the were not even picked by Roy Hodgson
MARKS and Spencer might be selling the official threads of the England team for Euro 2016 — but it seems like they have been stitched up over their models.
Phil Jones, Jonjo Shelvey and Kieran Gibbs were all invited to be part of the promotional photoshoot, even though they were not invited to France.
The suit was unveiled in February, months before Roy Hodgson named his team — but it seems it was the kiss of death for these three Premier League stars.
Other players involved in the shoot were stars Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Joe Hart, all of whom WILL be going to France with the England side.
The suit is a truly international one too. Bizarrely, the wool used comes from Australia, is shipped to China for processing, Italy to be dyed and either Romania or Poland to be spun.
It is then sent to Yorkshire to be woven and then Cambodia to be made into a proper suit before winging it back to the UK to be flogged.

Despite that, M&S claim: “The suit is from 100 per cent British cloth meaning that the cloth is woven in the UK.”
Marcus Rashford will also be wearing the new suit across the Channel after being picked by Hodgson — and the Manchester United star was barely on even United’s radar when this photoshoot took place.
