Saka, who came through the club's academy, has made a major impact this season after making his debut in the Europa League in 2018.

He has proven his versatility having played as a wing-back, wideman and in the middle.

Following drawn out talks, the Gunners are understood to have significantly improved their original offer to around £30,000 a week.

Saka's previous £3,000-per-week deal was set to expire in the summer of 2021.
